RSL Rooms new access doors

The Eudunda RSL is celebrating the installation of new access doors which have made it much easier to get in and out of the RSL rooms.

World War II veteran Frank Herriman, was most impressed with the new doors when he had to go through them several times while celebrating his 88th birthday at the RSL rooms.

“What used to be at least a two person job to get anyone with a wheelchair or walker through the narrow double doors has now become easy and convenient, even for me.” Frank said with delight.
RSL President John Stephens explained,
“We have many older people attend our functions and they like to be as independent as possible. They don’t like to have to ask to have the doors opened for them, like we needed to do with the old doors. These doors are such an improvement, and we couldn’t have done afforded to install them without the assistance of a grant from the SA ‘Premiers Community Initiative Fund’. The fund allowed us to replace two sets of doors and install more rails."
